LOTTE XXL | Corten

Description

LOTTE XXL planter/privacy screen from the »Palatino« series, made of Corten steel; modular design. The consistent design of the Palatino series allows for optimal combination possibilities – various heights, widths, lengths, etc.

Suitable for private use, as an impressive feature in restaurants, or for dividing commercial spaces. The material's unique character combines with personal design freedom above the intermediate floor. The stabilizing substructure and the newly developed intermediate floor, located approximately 24 cm below the edge, allow for a variety of filling options, including planting substrate or seasonal greenery such as bark mulch. We recommend adding a layer of gravel or stones to the bottom for added stability.

An additional shelf for the bottom is optionally available; this makes sense if you want to add stones at the bottom for weight – then order it at the same time.

Not suitable for complete filling and planting without an intermediate shelf; in that case, please choose a different model, e.g., URBAN.

The use of high-quality Corten steel makes the "Palatino" planter a unique eye-catcher in your garden or on your terrace, thanks to its rust look, which you can enjoy for a long time.

What many don't know is that Corten steel, with its original trendy look, guarantees long-lasting enjoyment, as it is virtually indestructible.

The earthy, reddish-brown color harmonizes perfectly with the greenery in your garden. Whether used as a raised bed, planter, or cachepot, it uniquely combines the advantages of back-friendly, slug-reduced working conditions with higher yields thanks to its deep humus substrate.

Production takes place on modern CNC machines with optimal dimensional accuracy. No comparison to cheap imports from the Far East. We are committed to our German production site and handle all manufacturing in-house. That's our quality promise!

Delivery condition: mill finish

The weatherproof structural steel is processed in its mill-finished state. Therefore, in its normal delivery condition, the elements are mill-finished and either not rusted or only slightly rusted.

Patina development

During the production and processing of the raw steel sheets, no patina has yet formed on the surface. This only develops through natural weathering. The formation of the visually appealing surface begins after 2-3 weeks and is only complete after 1.5 to 3 years. The alternation between wet and dry weather is crucial for the formation of the protective layer. If there are surface areas that are not exposed to this weathering, the vibrant, elegant rust patina will not develop there.
