Multi-part segmented variable raised bed from the »Palatino« URBAN series in Corten steel (weathering steel) – the ultimate solution for the practical person.
With our EDEN, we offer an elegant designer raised garden bed.
With the same height of 70 centimeters, we have recently developed an even more robust and versatile version of a large raised bed as an alternative. With URBAN, made of two-millimeter-thick steel and one-meter-wide elements, you can build a raised bed of impressive stature – offering great flexibility. Whether for urban gardening or traditional cottage gardening, one only needs to look around the country with open eyes to see the compelling reasons for gardening in one's own surroundings.
Raised beds are popular with young and old alike – fresh fruit and vegetables are often difficult or even impossible to obtain and involve long journeys. Raised beds extend the season with higher yields and easier cultivation. The Corten steel material also offers protection against slugs and a uniquely durable, natural-looking surface.
Many advantages of our EDEN model remain unchanged. It can also be used for permanent greening, partitioning, or as a standalone central element in landscaping; it can be installed as a border or in front of walls or fences.

With a height of 70 cm, the large raised bed offers ample space for planting any ornamental or edible plants; URBAN 100x100 cm can be combined with our WHEELS and STEPS substructures, meaning a base plate with casters or feet can be screwed underneath (see accessories for planters).

Technical data
- Dimensions of raised bed basic module (L x W x H): 100/200 x 100 x 70 cm, smallest L-module: 200 x 200 cm
- Top and bottom edges double folded over 40/20 mm – perfectly combinable with the rest of the Palatino series
- Segmented, it can be extended with 50 or 100 cm long segments to 250, 300, 350, 400 … centimeters!
- The segmentation allows for L or U shapes by incorporating internal or external angles. The leg length of each angle is 50 cm.
- Material: Corten steel ("weathering steel") 2 mm
- Delivered as mill finish - patina develops gradually, no rust streaks thereafter
- Delivered as a kit via freight carrier (notification required) for easy self-assembly
- All segments are supplied with connection sets (2x U-profile with screws).
- Additional cross bracing is optional, but useful in certain body designs.
- Special solutions available upon request.

Delivery condition: mill finish
The weatherproof structural steel is processed in its mill-finished state. Therefore, in its normal delivery condition, the elements are mill-finished and either not rusted or only slightly rusted.
Patina development
During the production and processing of the raw steel sheets, no patina has yet formed on the surface. This only develops through natural weathering. The formation of the visually appealing surface begins after 2-3 weeks and is only complete after 1.5 to 3 years. The alternation between wet and dry weather is crucial for the formation of the protective layer. If there are surface areas that are not exposed to this weathering, the vibrant, elegant rust patina will not develop there.
