For some sets, we use only 50 cm long sections for aesthetic reasons, to maintain the symmetry of the raised bed, e.g., for a bed with a length of 250 cm. Instead of one 100 cm and one 50 cm segment, we offer three 50 cm segments.

Multi-part segmented variable raised bed from the »Palatino« series.
With the same height as the EDEN series (70 centimeters), we have now developed a more robust and versatile version of a large raised bed. The URBAN series, made of two-millimeter-thick steel and one-meter-wide elements, allows you to build a raised bed of impressive stature – its high degree of flexibility allows you to create the perfect configuration for your dream bed. Thanks to the individually available segments, a wide variety of shapes are possible – we are happy to advise you and assist with the assembly.
Raised beds are popular with young and old alike – fresh fruit and vegetables are often difficult or impossible to obtain and/or involve long journeys. Raised beds extend the growing season with higher yields and easier access. The Corten steel material also offers protection against slugs and a uniquely durable, natural-looking surface. URBAN can also be used for permanent planting, partitioning, or as a standalone centerpiece in landscaping; the beds can also be used as edging or in front of walls and fences.

- Dimensions of raised bed basic module (length x width x height): 100/200 x 100 x 70 cm, smallest L-module: 200 x 200 cm
- Weight per segment approx. 15 kg, 100x100 cm total approx. 60 kg, 200x100 cm approx. 90 kg
- Top and bottom edges double folded over 40/20 mm – perfectly combinable with the rest of the Palatino series
- Connectors (C-profile) 22 cm long are included.
- Segmented, it can be extended with 50 or 100 cm long segments to 250, 300, 350, 400 … centimeters!
- The segmentation allows for L or U shapes by incorporating internal or external angles. The leg length of each angle is 50 cm.
- Material: Corten steel ("weathering steel") 2 mm
- Delivered as mill finish - patina develops gradually, no rust streaks thereafter
- Each flower bed develops its own individual patina over time - always a unique piece.

- Additional cross bracing is recommended for larger structural designs, especially when several longitudinal segments are joined.

Delivery condition: mill finish
The weatherproof structural steel is processed in its mill-finished state. Therefore, in its normal delivery condition, the elements are mill-finished and either not rusted or only slightly rusted.
Patina development
During the production and processing of the raw steel sheets, no patina has yet formed on the surface. This only develops through natural weathering. The formation of the visually appealing surface begins after 2-3 weeks and is only complete after 1.5 to 3 years. The alternation between wet and dry weather is crucial for the formation of the protective layer. If there are surface areas that are not exposed to this weathering, the vibrant, elegant rust patina will not develop there.
