Description

Raised bed URBAN STEPS - the idea of large movable planting containers for planting with trees or bushes.
By bolting our STEPS substructure to the robust URBAN raised bed, a large planter 80 cm high is created, standing on ten-centimeter-high feet, making it easy to move with forklifts or pallet jacks. Olive trees, citrus trees, or grapevines find a permanent home here and can be moved from their summer to their winter quarters and back again. This mobility is equally useful for designing gardens, parking lots, or public spaces.
Multi-part, segmented, variable raised bed from the "Palatino" series. Delivered as a kit.
With the URBAN series made of two millimeter thick steel and a total height of 80 centimeters, you can build a raised bed of impressive stature.
Raised beds are popular with young and old alike – fresh fruit and vegetables are often difficult or impossible to obtain and/or involve long journeys. Raised beds extend the growing season with higher yields and easier access. The Corten steel material also offers protection against slugs and a uniquely durable, natural-looking surface. URBAN can also be used for permanent planting, partitioning, or as a standalone centerpiece in landscaping; the beds can also be used as edging or in front of walls and fences.

Delivery condition: mill finish
The weatherproof structural steel is processed in its mill-finished state. Therefore, in its normal delivery condition, the elements are mill-finished and either not rusted or only slightly rusted.
Patina development
During the production and processing of the raw steel sheets, no patina has yet formed on the surface. This only develops through natural weathering. The formation of the visually appealing surface begins after 2-3 weeks and is only complete after 1.5 to 3 years. The alternation between wet and dry weather is crucial for the formation of the protective layer. If there are surface areas that are not exposed to this weathering, the vibrant, elegant rust patina will not develop there.
